Moscow, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that her country does not interfere in Armenia's internal affairs.
'Our position is stable, clear and unequivocal,' the Russian diplomat replied to a question from Govorit Moskva radio station about the current political conflict in Yerevan.
The spokeswoman stressed that 'this is an internal affair of a sovereign State, of a political process in that State, there can be no other opinions.'
Regarding a possible Moscow's performance as a mediator in the Armenian conflict, Zakharova reiterated that these events are part of 'an internal matter of a sovereign country', so 'our position is invariable.'
According to Sputnik news agency, the political tension in Yerevan worsened after Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan claimed that the Russian Iskander missiles 'did not detonate at all or did so at 10 percent' during recent hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
