Zaven Mkrtchyan, father of fixed-term serviceman Hayk Mkrtchyan who fell in the second war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), posted the following on his Facebook page:
“Today I heard the chief manipulator [Nikol Pashinyan] say that, after thinking long and hard for four-and-a-half months, he has decided to make a sacrifice and will declare that he is defeated so that the people don’t feel that they are defeated. I say that it would be more fair and honest if he (since he declared in parliament that he is ready to die) took a 30-member squad of government officials and elected himself as a commander of the squad, entered the office of Soros, received a blessing and went to the border to join the men on the border, fight the last battle of Sardarapat and protect them from the strikes of Turkish UAVs, even if he died.
Now he is talking about being executed. The person who is ready to be executed should have executed himself on the night of November 9, 2020. So, the person who led thousands of young people to death must be punished. I’m not even talking about the loss of a large part of Artsakh because that can be theoretically returned. Nevertheless, I hope he fulfills his promise at least once, and we, the people, will witness him being executed at the square after June 21 when the elections are over since garnering less than half of the votes will be secured, even in case of perfect electoral fraud.”
