Erevan, Aug 27 (Prensa Latina) The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinián highlighted he has received some positive signals from Turkey in favor of establishing peace in the region, which will be evaluated by his Government.
Armenia accuses Turkey of providing assistance to Azerbaijan during the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of last year and of sending military personnel to the region.
Even though the two countries have a common border, they do not maintain diplomatic relations, the TASS news agency recalled.
In an attempt to improve bilateral ties, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey signed protocols on the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2009, in Zurich, but the documents were not ratified by the parties. In March 2018, Erevan canceled its participation.
