Armenia records 731 new Covid-19 cases on September 11

Armenia has confirmed 731 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 248,397 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, the Ministry of Health reports.

635 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 232,041.

The Covid-19 death toll has increased by 16 to 4,995. The figure does not include the deaths of 1,173 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

Armenia now has 10,188 active cases. As many as 1,607,444 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
