Participants of a rally held outside the Armenian Foreign Ministry building in downtown Yerevan on Thursday brought “gifts” for Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, including pink glasses, shorts and slippers.

The protesters included young members of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, Dashnaktsutyun) party and the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK).

"To meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu in Antalya, you need to be well dressed. Here are slippers special for Ararat Mirzoyan, as well as shorts: put them on after resignation and go to Antalya! Look how generous we are," one of the protest organizers said via a loudspeaker.

The young activist said that they had also brought a red cap with cannabis leaves on it for Mirzoyan. He recalled that during the 2018 revolution many people wore caps which read, "With Spirit”.

"Where does that spirit fade out when you have to serve the interests of the homeland? Where is that spirit? Yours should not read "With Spirit," but rather "With the Turks," which is unacceptable to us. We also brought glasses. I am sure that not every man would wear them. These glasses are specially made for Ararat Mirzoyan's meeting with Cavusoglu, because he sees Turkey through rose-colored glasses, he doesn't know what the Armenian Genocide and Artsakh wars are about. We are leaving the gifts here, waiting for Ararat to come and get them,” he said, adding “No to Nikol!” and “No to Turkey!”.

Afterwards, demonstrators marched to the government building.
