ArmInfo. Russian peacekeepers deployed in the Republic of Artsakh are in their positions, negotiations are ongoing, the Information Center of the Republic of  Artsakh reports.  

"We inform you that the observance of the line of  contact in the direction of the settlements of Parukh and Khramort in  the Askeran region and ensuring the safety of civilians living in  these communities within a mission area of the Russian peacekeeping  contingent deployed in the Republic of Artsakh.

At the moment, the peacekeepers are in their positions, negotiations  are ongoing. We once again urge the population to remain calm, the  situation continues to remain stable in other parts of the contact  line," the statement reads.

Hours earlier, it was reported that at around 4:00pm, the Azerbaijani  armed forces violated the line of contact in the direction of the  village of Parukh, Askeran region. It was noted that representatives  of the Defense Army and the peacekeeping contingent stationed in the  Republic of Artsakh are trying through negotiations to prevent the  further advance of the enemy and return it back to its initial  positions. women and children were evacuated from the Khramort  village of the Askeran region for security purposes.
