ARMTV, the Armenian national broadcaster, has launched “Destination Eurovision” featuring Rosa Linn, who will represent Armenia in Eurovision 2022.
The series will focus on Rosa Linn’s journey to Turin, telling her story, the story of her selection and the preparations for her performance of her song “Snap” in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The first episode, which features the singer in her hometown of Vanadzor, was released earlier this week and is available to view (with English subtitles) on ARMTV’s YouTube page:
Further episodes will be released in the weeks leading up to the contest. Rosa Linn will perform as the final entry in the first Semi-Final at the Pala Olimpico in Turin on 10 May.
Rosa Linn (real name Rosa Kostandyan), is a 21-year old singer living and working in Vanadzor in northern Armenia. Rosa is part of Nvak Collective, which was co-founded by Tamar Kaprelian who represented Armenia at Eurovision 2015 as part of Genealogy, and record producer, Alex Salibian.
Armenia is returning to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 having withdrawn from the contest in 2021. The broadcaster has opted to return to an internal selection process which was used in 2019. Recently, Rosa Linn revealed that her song was first submitted to the contest in 2019.
Armenia was last represented in Eurovision by the singer Srbuk, who finished 16th in the second semi-final in Tel Aviv with “Walking Out”, leaving Armenia out of the final for the second year in a row. Athena Manoukian was due to represent the nation in 2020 with “Chains on You” before the contest was cancelled.
