Karen Khachanov reached the quarterfinals of the ATP-500 tournament in Halle, Germany.

In the second round, Khachanov defeated Serb Laslo Đere 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. The match lasted one hour and 44 minutes.

Khachanov's opponent in the quarterfinals will be the winner of the pair Nikoloz Basilashvili (Georgia) – Oscar Otte (Germany).

The tournament prize fund is 2.1 million euros.
