In a statement, the Embassy stated, “We offer our sincere sympathies and assistance to the families; and close friends of the victims, wishing them resilience through this trying time of loss.

In a Mi-8 helicopter crash on July 29 in the mountain resort of Gudauri, four crew members; two rescuers, and two paramedics perished.

One pilot and his passenger from a paraglider that had crashed in the same area; earlier were being sought after by the rescue crew. The traveller, who authorities say was a foreign tourist; but whose name is not in revelation, is dead. The pilot is receiving medical care for his injuries and is alive. According to Civil Georgia, investigators are looking into what caused the aircraft; to crash.
