ArmInfo. He knew that he had to surrender [the territories], but he decided to surrender [them] at the cost of lives. This is how Artur Ghazinyan, head of the  Motherland Party, commented on the situation in Artsakh.

<He (RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, ed. note) decided to  surrender  [the territories] with a fight, at the cost of new lives,  so that later he would save new lives and say "we could have  prevented a new conflict, we would have had the same result, but  without victims". Literally the same thing happened in September  2020:" Ghazinyan wrote.

Another aggravation of situation began on the morning of August 1.  Azerbaijani units do not stop provocations and ceasefire violations.  On August 1, as a result of shelling from the Azerbaijani side, a  soldier of the Artsakh Defense Army was wounded.

And today, as a result of enemy actions, 8 servicemen of the Artsakh  Defense Army were injured, one more died.

A little earlier, Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan reported that  tension is maintained in the northwestern part of Artsakh, at the  junction of Shushi and Berdzor (Lachin) regions, and Russian  peacekeepers are negotiating. He noted that this refers to the  section north of the city of Berdzor.  <The escalation in Artsakh is  connected with the new illegal demands of Azerbaijan on the Lachin  corridor.  The plan for the new route has not been agreed upon, not  approved, and 3 years have not yet passed since the signing of the  application [this is how much time is allotted for agreeing on a new  route by mutual approval], therefore, Azerbaijan's actions are a  flagrant violation of the tripartite statement>
