Monuments of monumental art have been removed from Berdzor, Aghavno, and Sus settlements that will be handed over to Azerbaijani control, and only the memorial stone at the central intersection of Berdzor remains. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Lernik Hovhannisyan informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.
"We will make the final removal on Monday, and we will already discuss with Artsakh Diocese [of the Armenian Apostolic Church] and other interested parties, and we will already make a decision on where these monuments and cross-stones will be [re]located," Hovhannisyan added.
Artsakh Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Hayk Khanumyan had informed the Armenian residents of Aghavno village and Berdzor town that they had to leave their homes by August 25.
