YEREVAN, August 25. /TASS/. The member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) must do their best to maintain the current pace of trade, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov in Cholpon-Ata.
"When we look at the indicators of trade turnover within the EAEU, we see that there are large growth rates compared to 2021. Of course, this must be maintained, but we should not relax, because the hard times, unfortunately, are not over yet. We need to focus on keeping the pace of trade between the EAEU countries," he said.
According to Pashinyan, "negative forecasts in the Eurasian economic space have not become a reality."
"On the contrary, our perception of the situation has been confirmed, because we clearly determined that the situation that emerged after the pandemic, of course, not only outlines new challenges, but also creates new opportunities," Pashinyan said.
On August 25-26, a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is underway in in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata. It is attended by prime ministers of the members states of the EAEU (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia).
