"Further progress in the peace process hinges on unspecified
"courageous steps by Azerbaijan towards compromise," Armenia’s foreign
minister Vardan Oskanian told RFE/RL from the Belgian capital.

He said Armenia is prepared to continue the negotiating process and
listen to proposals adding that there is nothing new regarding the
settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

"At the meeting with Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov
with presence of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs this week, we simply talked
about how the existing disagreements can be overcome," "But there are
no concrete agreements. The only hope is that during their visit to
the region the mediators will reach some agreements with the leaders
[of Armenia and Azerbaijan," Oskanian stressed.

Armenian FM ruled out any impact of the elections in Armenia and
Azerbaijan in 2008 on the process of the settlement of the Nagorno
Karabakh conflict.
