Today Armenia’s prime minister, Serge Sargsyan, participated in
the reopening ceremonies of a factory owned by the "Di Chi Arms
Corporation," after which he became acquainted with its production
and its work towards modernization. This was announced by the prime
minister’s news department.
Before the ceremonies, the corporation’s colleagues, led by owner
Davit Galstyan, passed through the Komitas Pantheon and paid respects
to former prime minister Andranik Margaryan, who had, in his official
capacity, assisted in the reopening of the factory.
During opening ceremonies, Sargsyan presented the programs of the
"Neytron" and "Bagavan" factories, saying that in the next five
months renovation and improvements, along with new construction,
would be taking place, at the Armenian dram equivalent of 4.7 million
US dollars.
The operations of "Neytron" lasted from its founding in 1968 until
January of 2005, after which the facilities fell into a state of
ruin and neglect. It was noted that that the buildings on the grounds
were constructed by the "Di Chi Arms Corporation" in accordance with
the strictest international standards, and which included the most
modern facilities.
Along with the reconstruction work, parallel high quality renovation
work was completed.
"Di Chi Arms Corporation" officials assured the Armenian government
that it would continue investing in the nation’s security and defense
by way of the production of needed military hardware.
