MURDER CASE OF SEDRAK ZATIKIAN SENT TO COURT

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, NOYAN TAPAN. The cases filed against the three
out of the five defendants, charged with the murder of businessman
Sedrak Zatikian, the son of Vahan Zatikian, the former mayor of the
Malatia-Sebastia community of Yerevan, were sent to the Court of
First Instance of the above-mentioned community. This information
was provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Sona Truzian, the
Spokeswoman of the RA Prosecutor General.

Defendant Arsen Arushanian is charged with the murder of Sedrak
Zatikian and an accidental passer-by Karine Sargsian committed on the
crossroad of Sebastia and Tichina streets with mercenary motives and
in a dangerous way for the lives of many people on June 22, 2006. The
other two, that is, Arthur Hovhannisian and Lusine Ghevondian, are
charged with showing assistance in the murder.

The cases of defendants Narek Khachatrian and Stepan Hakobian,
who are in search, will be separately examined. The preliminary
investigation on the cases of the above-mentioned two defendants is
underway. Corresponding bodies are instructed to take more active
measures in the direction of discovering the defendants in search.
