Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) Subcommittee on Nagorno
Karabakh will stop operating after Lord Russell-Johnston retires,
PACE Political Committee told APA.

New chairman of the subcommittee will not be elected in the framework
of PACE fall session. Chairman of PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh
is expected to be elected at the meeting of political committee in
the second half of October. The candidate to the post is not known yet.

PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh had planned to visit the
conflict zone after the fall session, the visit was postponed after
Lord Russell-Johnston retired. The political committee told APA that
the visit may take place in November-December depending on weather
conditions.
