As distinct from a number of armenian colonies, in Iran armenian
colonies were formed long ago in other hisorical and political
conditions. The history has already assesses this phenomenon many
times. Recently, being in Tehran we had a achance to get acquainted
with today’s reality more directly. In Tehran the main part of the
Armenians is centralized in some districts. At one time these districts
had an armeniandense population. Unfortunatelly, some of them can be
proud of it. Inspite of it, the Armenians are involved actively today
in different spheres of the country’s life. During the centuries
comprehending the district’s traditions and customs, the Armenians
have secured their significant presence in all the spheres of Iran’s
life. And it is estimated by the republic. In Tehran some churches
work. Different cultural groups work also there. And irrespective of
everything, the emigration is go on, mostly to Europe and the USA,
which hurts much more.
