We are looking forward the moment when Brazilian Congress will ratify
the Cultural Cooperation Agreement with Armenia, which will start
a new epoch of the countries’ relations in the sphere of culture,
education and science, Brazilian Ambassador to Armenia Renate Stille
told ArmInfo.
She said in case of the ratification, the parties will be able to
start cooperating to boost student exchange programs and scientific
researches. The agreement will allow starting elaboration of a
special agreement in the sphere of public health. Moreover, due
to the ratification of the given agreement, other not so large-
scale documents will no longer need ratification by the Congress,
the Ambassadress said.
As regards the economic cooperation, Ambassadress Stille said there are
no such opportunities so far. Nevertheless, the Ambassadress promised
to personally contribute to mobilization of the funds of the Armenian
Diaspora in Brazil into Armenia. Armenian Diaspora representatives
have recently funded reconstruction of a children department of the
hospital in Nork-Marash community in the capital city and intend to
invest in the whole hospital, the Ambassadress said.
