Many classes have been closed in the regions of Armenia for the lack
of pupils. Only in Syunik 150 classes were closed, while the number of
the elementary school decreased by 1500 this year. Heghine Bisharian,
member of RA National Assembly, said this yesterday. In response,
Levon Mkrtchian, Ra Culture and Education Minister, said that special
faculties for training of the currently working teachers have been
opened at the relevant universities of Armenia, to secure a higher
level of specialization for them and to avert loss of teachers.
