YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: President Robert Kocharian met
today with the governor of the northwestern province of Shirak,
Mrs. Lida Nanian, to discuss a set of issues.

Kocharian’s press office said the governor spoke at length about her
work over the last two months since her appointment to the post. She
also spoke about the most pressing problems of the region.

Kocharian in turn was curious to learn about the pace of implementation
of government-funded projects, which address road rehabilitation,
improvement of water supply and waste water removal systems and
construction of houses in rural areas.

The governor reported about 6 anti-hail systems being currently set
up in the region.

The president said all accrued wages should be as soon as possible. He
also said a special attention should be paid to tax collection.
