/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "The existence of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict –
unsettled but threatening to flare up at any moment – is harmful for
Russia," said Gennady Gudkov, chairman of RF State Duma committee
on security.

"Azerbaijan and Armenia are our close neighbors and we want sustainable
peace there," Gudkov said.

The Russian MP thinks Azerbaijan and Armenia could achieve a reasonable
agreement on Karabakh. "The problem is that the parties to conflict
should do it themselves. They should find a more realistic approach
implying less populism and rhetoric," Gudkov said adding that Russia
is ready to stand a guarantor of the agreement achieved by the sides,
Trend news agency reports.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
