RAKEEN sponsors concert for Armenian Cultural Week in Ras Al Khaimah

The Armenian community living in the United Arab Emirates will host
the Armenian Cultural Week from October 20th, beginning at Ras Al
Khaimah with a spectacular concert.

The concert to be held at the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Centre, will
feature the famous dance troupe "Barekamutyun" and other famous
performers such Aramo & Emma Petrosian, Arman Hovhannisian, and
Violinists -Hakob Shirinian & Avetik Gevorgian.

"Armenian Cultural Week is an opportunity for other nationalities to
celebrate the diverse cultures that can be found within the
community. We are proud to be the sponsor’s of this event," said
Rakeen’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Imad Haffar.

The week-long program of sports, culture and entertainment celebrates
the 16th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia. The
week is expected to provide an informative out-look into the unique
aspects of the Armenian community as well as promoting its cultures.

Sunday is the official launch for "Taste of Armenia" at the
Millennium Hotel in Abu Dhabi and the Chief Guest to mark the 16th
Independence anniversary will be Ms. Nani Oskanian, wife of Armenia’s
Foreign Affairs Minister.

Guests will also view Zara Gasparian’s Painting Exhibition at the
Mezzanine floor of the Millenium Hotel in Abu Dhabi on the same day.
Among the highlights of the event will be the "Armenian Jazz
evenings" as from 21 to 24th October at the Christal Bar, Millenium
Hotel Abu Dhabi. The performers for this event will be "Time Report"
Jazz Band.

Besides the Armenian Music and Food evenings there will also be a
concert at the Cultural Foundation, main auditorium in Abu Dhabi.

The climax of the event will be observed on Thursday, 25th October at
the Millenium Hotel in Abu Dhabi that will include a gala dinner and
in attendance will be various artists and "Barekamutyun" dance group.
