OSCE MINSK GROUP TO REVISIT YEREVAN OCTOBER 27

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS: International peace brokers will
pay another visit to Armenia on October 27, foreign minister Vartan
Oskanian revealed today.
The French, Russian and American cochairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group
visited Yerevan on October 24 and proceeded then to Azerbaijan. Before
leaving the region they will come to Armenia to present the results
of their meetings with Azerbaijani leadership, Oskanian said.
Oskanian said little time is left before the presidential elections in
Armenia and Azerbaijan and because of this the presidents of Armenia
and Azerbaijan will not have a chance for a face-to-face meeting and
this is why the cochairmen have to step up their efforts.
He said the peace brokers will try to narrow the differences of the
sides and achieve a positive result before the presidential election.
‘There are few sticking points, but there are also a great deal of
issues which the sides have agreed upon. We hope to fix what has been
achieved so far and add it by what has been agreed upon by the sides,
" he said.
