ARMENIAN MOLYBDENUM PRODUCTION COMPANY INCREASED FERROMOLYBDENUM PRODUCTION BY 34,8% OVER NINE MONTHS OF 2007

ArmInfo. Armenian Molybdenum Production [AMP] company produced 2157
tons of ferromolybdenum over nine months of 2007 which is by 34,8%
more than at the same period of 2006, director of AMP Karen Karapetyan
told ArmInfo correspondent.

He also added that the volume of ferromolybdenum production increased
by 31,4% in terms of money up to 26,012 bln drams. The difference
between the rates of growth in real and money terms the director
explained by devaluation of America dollar. As Karapetyan predicted,
the company will produce about 2800 tons of ferromolybdenum till the
end of 2007. He also said that the company produced 112 kg ammonium
perrhenate over nine months of the current year and its volumes may
grow up to 150 kg till the end of the year. All the production of the
company is sold in abroad. Karapetyan said that over the reported
period the company bought and processed 2780 tons of molybdenum
concentrate from Zangezur and Agarak cooper-molybdenum plants and
338 tons from foreign suppliers.

As a result of its nine months activity the company paid 537,8 mln
drams to the state budget of Armenia. A total of 76,3 mln drams were
paid for social insurance.

To recall, Armenian Molybdenum Production was created in 2003. It
started functioning in a stable way since 2004. Production capacities
of the company amount to 5thsd tons of ferromolybdenum per year.
