MEDICAL UNIVERSITY’S ENERGY CENTER INAUGURATED IN PRESENCE OF PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN

The energy center of the Yerevan Medical University after Mkhitar
Heratsi was put into commission today in presence of RA President
Robert Kocharyan.
The President noted that the experience can be applied in other
institutions, since both the equipment and the methods are good.
Robert Kocharyan also visited the newly constructed administrative
building of the university, and participated in the closed-door
sitting of the university’s scientific board.
Rector of the Mecical University Gohar Kyalyan informed that during
the sitting the board members asked the President to restore the
campus around the university, which stretched from Koryun Street
to Sharimanyan Street to including the Abovyan square. According
to Gohar Kyalyan, the area was given to the university in 1995,
but some structures have been privatized upon time, some buildings
have collapsed. The Rector noted that the university is even ready
to pay reimbursement to kiosk owners. Today the university has 5
thousand students and, according to the Rector, in order to organize
the education corresponding to international standards, it needs area
for opening critiques to organize practical education.
President Kocharyan promised to consider the suggestion if it is
presented in a written form with supporting projects and documents.
