ARMENIAN CHESS PLAYERS IMPROVE THEIR STANDING

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: Armenian women chess players have
climbed to the third place at the European team chess championship
in Greece’s Crete island after beating peers from Poland 2.5-1.5.

Russian girls have already secured gold medals.

They are followed by chess players from Poland. In the last 9-th
round Armenian girls will be paying against Georgia, who are on the
fourth line.

Armenian men chess players meantime played draw against Azerbaijan in
the 8-th round. Now they are third ahead of the final round. Israel
is also on the third position.

Russian men players have also secured gold medals.

Armenian and Israeli men will be fighting for silver medals in the
ninth round.
