MEMORANDUM ON COOPERATION SIGNED BETWEEN ARMENIAN AND IRANIAN MINISTRIES OF DEFENSE

November 8 RA Foreign Minister Michael Harutyunyan and Iran’s Minister
of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Major General Mostafa Mohammad
Najjar signed a memorandum on cooperation between the two countries
in the field of defense.

The meeting was followed by a joint press conference. RA Defense
Minister Michael Harutyunyan noted in his speech that during the
negotiations with his Iranian counterpart, they exchanged views on
a number of bilateral and regional issues.

Major-General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar added that the Iranian side
stands for resolution of conflicts through negotiations and dialogue
and expressed hope that all the countries of the region will take
steps in this direction.

Turning to the cooperation between the Defense Ministries of Armenia
and Iran, Michael Harutyunyan noted that the consistent policy of
the parties will reinforce the centuries-old atmosphere of trust and
will serve as a basis for future cooperation for the sake of peaceful
co-existence of two friendly peoples.
