ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT APPROVES 2008 PROGRAM ON STATE ASSISTANCE TO SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, NOYAN TAPAN. In accordance with the RA Law on
State Assistance to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), the Armenian
government approved the 2008 program on state assistance to small
and medium enterprises during the November 8 governmnetal sitting,
NT was informed by the RA Government Information and PR Department.
The program’s objectives are: the creation and strengthening of
the respective infrastructures of assistance to SME subjects; the
expansion of financial and investment capacities of SME subjects,
with preference being given to remote and border settlements; the
expansion of innovation and foreign economic activities; expansion
of the SME subjects’ (particularly, of start-up businessmen’s)
opportunities to use business educational, information and advisory
services and to do business.
