"The current situation is very similar to the years 1995-96 since
in 1995 the composition of the parliament did not reflect the real
picture, and 1998 followed it," Constitutional Right Union (SIM)
chairman Hrant Khachatryan told reporters today, also saying he
considers pointless similar developments.
Speaking about upcoming presidential elections and the disposition
of SIM, Khachatryan said that they have no favorite person among
those who may pass. He did not detail who they consider possible for
winning. "All candidates who filed applications are known figures and
the statements made by them are not constructive," he said. "Their
ideas do not inspire trust in me since their main emphasis is on
technologies," he said.
Speaking about a single candidate from the opposition, SIM leader said
he does not participate in the discussions and will not participate
since "issues are not resolved there."
