AUDITORIUMS OPEN IN YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY DEDICATED TO KARABAKH WAR SOLDIERS

YEREVAN (YERKIR) – Three auditoriums in the Yerevan State University
were named today after students who had fought in the Karabakh war.

After auditoriums named after Furman Gevorgian and Vachagan Avakimov
of the Economics Department were opened, a auditorium named after
Tatul Krpeyan was opened in the History Department. Krpeyan’s bust
statue was placed in the auditorium. The YSU rector Aram Simonian
said 13 auditoriums were named after freedom fighters killed in the
Karabakh war, another 13 will open next year.

University professors, Karabakh war veterans, friends and family
members attended the solemn ceremony.

General Komandos (Arkadi Ter-Ghukasian) said Tatul was a strong man
both physically and spiritually. He was the first who threw himself
to the battlefield leading others.
