AMBASSADOR OF CHINA DONATES 550 BOOKS AND 120 VIDEO CASSETTES TO NATIONAL LIBRARY OF ARMENIA

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 30, NOYAN TAPAN. On November 30, Hong Jiuyin,
the Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia,
donated 550 books, magazines, and nearly 120 video cassettes concerning
China to the National Library of Armenia (NLA). "Today’s small
donation is one of the examples of our friendly relations. They have
always been positive not only in the diplomatic but also in any other
sphere. And the interrelations of our Embassy and the NLA, I am sure,
will continue," emphasized the Ambassador.

H. Jiuyin mentioned that the library can have a important role in
the issue of strengthening the cultural ties, and due to cooperation,
according to him, the peoples of Armenia and China will be more closely
acquainted with the cultural peculiarities of each other. "We will do
our best not only for the development of our diplomatic relations
but also for the creation of cooperation between our cultural
institutions," said Hong Jiuyin. The Ambassador also expressed his
willingness to support the future cooperation between the libraries
of the two countries.
