ARMENIAN OPPOSITION NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC UNION NOMINATES LEADER FOR PRESIDENT

Yerevan, 28 November: The National Democratic Union leader nominated
Vazgen Manukyan as its presidential candidate at its 17th congress
today.
In his closing remarks at the congress, Manukyan said that the tough
task of nomination had been solved and that a very small task of
winning was left.
Out of 262 delegates elected by regional organizations, 184
participated in the congress that lasted two hours.
