ArmInfo-TURAN: Any decision on Gabala radiolocation station must
be made with participation of Azerbaijan and given the fact that
the station belongs to Azerbaijan. Defense Minister of Azerbaijan
Safar Abiyev made this statement at his meeting with Russian Defense
Minister Anatoly Serdukov, in Baku, Wednesday.

Defense Ministry press-service reports that after the vis-a-vis
meeting, the ministers participated in an enlarged meeting. S. Abiyev
said Russia and Azerbaijan successfully cooperate in various spheres
and this cooperation will be continued. ‘I hope the current visit will
help strengthening the military and military-technical cooperation
of the two countries,’ S. Abiyev said. As regards the political
situation in the South Caucasus, he said: ‘The situation in the region
remains aggravated due to Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan. UN
Security Council adopted four resolutions, which are neglected by
Armenia. Unfortunately, CIS has not assessed the aggressive policy of
Armenia so far and made no steps in this direction,’ the Azerbaijani
minister said. In response, Anatoly Serdukov expressed confidence in
further development of the bilateral relations. During the meeting with
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade, A. Serdukov mentioned
the agreement on education of military specialists of Azerbaijan
at Russian universities and on repair of the Azerbaijani military
equipment at Russian enterprises.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
