COMPUTER TRAINING TO BE ORGANIZED FOR BLIND DISABLED PEOPLE DUE TO STATE BUDGET MEANS FOR FIRST TIME IN 2008

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 11, NOYAN TAPAN. For the first time 20 million
drams (approximately 65.5 thousand dollars) will be allocated for the
organization of a computer training by the "Arev" system envisaged for
blind disabled people and for providing them with special computers
from the 2008 budget of the Republic of Armenia. This information
was provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Anahit Gevorgian,
the Deputy Head of the Department on the Disabled and Elderly People
under the RA Ministry of Labour and Social Issues. She mentioned that
eye prosthetic appliance will be made for blind disabled people by
the state budget means.
New high-quality deaf-aids are envisaged to be obtained for disabled
children under 14 by the means allocated by the state budget in 2008.
According to Anahit Gevorgian, in general, 867 million drams instead
of the 813 million drams of 2007, will be allocated for obtaining
prosthesis-orthopedic and rehabilitation equipments and repairing
prostheses by the state budget.
