ARMENIA, UAE SIGN COOPERATION ACCORDS

Yerevan, 12 December: A number of bilateral agreements were signed
during the working visit of Armenian President Robert Kocharyan to
the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today.
The agreements include those on cooperation in the sphere of
agriculture, tourism and air transportation.
An agreement on funding the reconstruction of the Arpa-Sevan tunnel
was signed between the Armenian government and the Abu-Dhabi Fund
for Development. The Armenian and the UAE Foreign Ministries signed
a memorandum of understanding to hold consultations.
Today, Kocharyan met UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
as well as the prime minister and the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammad
Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
Kocharyan also attended the opening ceremony of the Armenian embassy’s
new building and met the members of the Armenian community.
