AZERBAIJAN PROTESTS TO BRITAIN OVER TOURS TO NAGORNYY KARABAKH

12 December: Azerbaijan has sent a protest letter to Britain over
the activity of the British Sunvil Discovery travel agency that
organizes special tours to Nagornyy Karabakh, the press secretary of
the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Intiqam Humbatov,
has told APA.

The letter, signed by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and the
tourism department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was sent
to the World Tourism Organization and the British Ministry of Culture,
Creative Industries and Tourism. The protest letter said that Nagornyy
Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan and insisted that the
special tours be stopped.
