TWO MORE NATIONAL GROUPS TO VOTE FOR SERZH SARKISIAN

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS: Two more national minority groups
of Armenia have joined today Yezidis, Kurds and Jews to express their
support to the presidential bid of prime minister Serzh Sarkisian.
Yavir Roman, head of the Federation of Armenian Ukrainians, said at
a news conference they have decide to support Serzh Sarkisian because
he has contributed to the development of Armenia.
He said some of presidential candidates held in the past high positions
in the government, but they did nothing to make Armenia stronger. "We
do not think that if elected (president) they would do anything for
Armenia," he said.
According to Yavir Roman, there are 4,000 Ukrainians in Armenia
and their majority will vote for Serzh Sarkisian in the February 19
presidential election.
Arkady Fitarov, chairman of the Armenian Greek Organizations
Association said that the final decision on whom to defend will be
made December 16, but he added that the majority of local Greeks are
set to defend Serzh Sarkisian.
He said Armenian Greeks voted for Sarkisian’s Republican party in
the past parliamentary elections.
