Visiting Armenian Church Complex in Moscow I remembered an announcement
made by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry recently directed to Russian
authorities that is a manifestation of unprecedented political
tactlessness towards Russia.

Leninist Caucasian Tartars expressed their "deep" concern that
Armenians build a church in Moscow under the name of "New Nakhichevan",
while they have an autonomy and a city in Azerbaijan by the same name.

Consequently, the construction of the church in Moscow under
similar name is a part of Armenian program of territorial demands on
Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijani side.

Moreover, Azerbaijani official representative hopes that Russia will
not give an opportunity to continue the construction of the spiritual
center under that name.

By the way, recently President Putin warned many countries not to
poke their nose into Russian domestic affairs.

The Russian side gave a lesson of history to the Azerbaijani
side telling that Rostov-on-Don had a town by name New
Nakhichevan. Nevertheless, it’s not clear if Aliev’s children
understood it.
