SWEARING CEREMONY OF 38 NEWLY APPOINTED JUDGES TAKES PLACE AT JUSTICE COUNCIL SITTING

YEREVAN, JANUARY 17, NOYAN TAPAN. The swearing ceremony of 38 newly
appointed judges took place at the January 17 sitting of the Justice
Council in the presence of the RA President. As NT was informed by
the RA President’s Press Office, the latters were appointed judges
by the RA President’s decress of November 30 and December 18, 2007.

Assuming the high post of a judge, they swore to execute "judge’s
duties in correspondence with the Constitution and laws of the
Republic of Armenia, to be unbiassed and to follow exact principles,
to be fair and humane, to piously keep all requirements put forward
to the status of the judge, ensuring supremacy of law and keeping
high the authority of the judicial power."
