Nicosia hosts `Friendship of Iran and Armenia’ exhibit

TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) — An exhibition of photography entitled
`Friendship of Iran and Armenia’ opened in Nicosia, Cyprus on Saturday.

A total of 40 photos depicting Armenian historical temples and cultural
monuments in Iran have been put on display for three days.

A group of Armenians and Iranians residing in Cyprus, as well as local
reporters attended the opening ceremony.

Iran’s ambassador to Nicosia, Alireza Bigdeli made a short speech about
Iran’s ancient history and civilization.

The representative of the Armenian nation in Cyprus expressed his
thanks to Iran’s embassy for holding the exhibit and said, `Iran has
always provided good living conditions for Armenians.’

He also noted that this exhibit exemplifies the great efforts that Iran
has made to promote dialogue between religions.
