ALL ARMENIAN TV COMPANIES CARRY OUT BLACK PR AGAINST LEVON
TER-PETROSIAN, ARAM MANUKIAN CONSIDERS
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 7, NOYAN TAPAN. All Armenian TV companies carry out
black PR against presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosian: the
reportings covering his election campaign are extremely polarized and
distorted. Aram Manukian, a member of the Armenian National Movement
(ANM) party Board, stated at the February 6 press conference. In his
words, that is why the presidential candidate has refused to speak on
those TV companies with "ordered journalists and ordered questions."
According to A. Manukian, only the candidates-placemen of the
authorities are content with the coverage of the media. "I consider
them fungi. That is, if there was no tree, there would be no fungus,
either. And if L. Ter-Petrosian was not a candidate for the elections,
these four of five candidates would have no occupation," the ANM Board
member said.
In his words, they have released more than 2000 DVD disks for conveying
L. Ter-Petrosian’s words to the people, as well as for showing he real
picture of the election campaign and have spread them both in the
regions and in Yerevan. A. Manukian said that a national movement has
been formed in the regions and in Yerevan and people go to the meetings
with L. Ter-Petrosian of their own free will and not forcedly.
