THE STATEMENT OF AMBASSADORS

Lragir
13:24:37 – 24/02/2008

We who sign this statement, faithful to the title of Armenian diplomat,
driven by the sense of responsibility for the Republic of Armenia and
the Armenian people, worried by the situation in Armenia, respecting
the right of the citizens of Armenia to vote, being convinced that only
a president elected in a free and fair election can resist to the
challenges that our country is facing and encourage our compatriots who
have risen to fight for real democracy in Armenia.

Underlining the importance of stability and social agreement in the
country, we urge our compatriots and especially the representatives of
all the structures which are responsible for public order and peace to
resist the temptation to solve problems through force.

We urge the Armenian TV companies, and especially the H1 channel to
provide an unbiased and comprehensive coverage of events and provide
live airtime to the representatives of all the forces which have a
constructive stance on overcoming the home political crisis.

We urge our colleagues both in Armenia and abroad to join our statement.
