ALEXANDER ZAITSEV APPOINTED RUSSIA’S TRADE REPRESENTATIVE IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov
appointed on February 21 Alexander Zaitsev RF (Russian Federation)
Trade Representative in Armenia, the RF Government’s website reports.
Zaitsev previously resigned as RF Deputy Prime Minister on
anti-monopoly policy and entrepreneurship support, after reaching
the age limit for public servicemen.
The bilateral intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of
foreign trade representations was signed in Yerevan on September
30, 1992.
Russia’s trade mission has been operating in Armenia for two years. Its
purpose is to support the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission
on economic cooperation.
The main objective of the representation is to develop bilateral
economic relations and provide information about economic conditions
and law, as well as to organize expos and sign agreements on economic,
scientific and trade cooperation between both countries.
