Police in the Armenian capital Yerevan have arrested 30 opposition
supporters on suspicion of being involved in rioting which killed
eight people.

The opposition has refused to accept the official results of last
month’s presidential election, which Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisian
won with an absolute majority.

Levon Ter-Petrosian, the opposition leader, came second. He has
accused Mr Sarkisian of rigging the election.
