/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian deputy prosecutor general Aram
Tamazyan petitioned the Constitutional Court Thursday to dismiss
the contestation of the February 19 presidential election outcomes
brought in by Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Tigran Karapetyan.

"The claims of the plaintiff are ungrounded and can’t serve as
foundation for declaration the election invalid," he said.

"A special working group was formed to look into all violations of
the election process and secure its transparency. The working group
received 52 alerts on violations. 12 criminal cases were instituted,"
he noted.

Tamazyan also informed that the number of alerts received by
the prosecutor’s general totaled 232. "37 criminal cases were
instituted. The other violations are administrative violations and
should be considered in the Administrative Court," Tamazyan said,

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
