YEREVAN, MARCH 11, ARMENPRESS: This year Armenia plans to open
an embassy in Brazil and a consular in Batumi, in neighboring
Georgia. Batumi, a resort town on the Black Sea coast is a very
popular tourist destination for thousands of Armenian holiday-makers.

Tigran Balayan, an acting spokesman for the foreign ministry, told
Armenpress an Armenian consular opened in the Hague on March 1.

He said the government in Yerevan has set aide money for purchase of
buildings abroad for embassies.

Last year Armenia bought a building in Warsaw, Poland, for its
embassy there.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
