YEREVAN, April 2. /ARKA/. Armenia’s economy is dynamically developing
now, Gagik Minasyan, Republican MP and chairman of Armenian National
Assembly’s standing financial committee, said on Wednesday.

In his words, Armenia’s economic growth has reached record high in
the last decade and outdone not only emerging countries, but also
the East and the West Europe.

In his opinion this was due to effective policy and comprehensive
reforms.

As convincing evidence of this intensive growth, Minasyan pointed out
the fact that the present state budget has outdone the GDP recorder
a decade ago.

He also said that the country will develop also throughout the
follow-up decade and stand in a row of European countries.

and 13.7% in 2007.

The economic growth is planned to b recorded at 10% in 2008.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
