ArmInfo. Ardshininvestbank Head Office was officially opened in Yerevan
on April 4.
Armenian President Robert Kocharyan stated at the opening ceremony that
no Armenian bank has such an immense head office building. ‘I think
that this step by Ardshininvestbank will become an impetus for other
banks to create such prestigious head offices and branch networks’, the
president said.
Ardshininvestbank Board Chairman Aram Andreasyan said the building
meets the present-day requirements and has up-to-date equipment. ‘It is
the so-called intellectual building. Due to the centralized management,
one center controls over the overall work. There are all the necessary
conditions in building in order both clients and employees feel
themselves very conformable’, he said.
A. Andreasyan said that over the last 5 years, the bank ensured high
growth rates of key figures due to the domestic political stability in
the country, two-digit GDP growth, and tough but constructive policy of
the Central Bank. ‘Since the bank occupies the leading positions by key
figures, the bank should have a relevant building’, he said. Andreasyan
also added that that 5 billion drams were spent on the capital repair
of the building that was launched in 2005.
For his part, Chairman of Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan said
Ardshininvestbank proved that it is possible to implement in Armenia
such projects as in developed states. ‘The situation in the world
financial market is rather complicate at present. Dozens of leading
foreign banks prove on the verge of bankruptcy. The authorities must
operatively settle the issue and apply the necessary instruments in
order clients avoid the crisis aftermaths. We made such step 5 years
ago by announcing an open tender that aimed to create favorable
conditions for Ardshininvestbank clients. The key shareholder of
Ardshininvestbank Karen Safaryan won the tender’, T. Sargsyan said. He
stressed that although the bank’s assets totaled only 3 billion drams
in 2003, now they reached 105 billion drams. ‘Evidently, we succeeded
in implementing this project with help of Armenian President Robert
Kocharyan’, he said.
In 2007 Ardshininvestbank was among the top three banks in the list of
the largest taxpayers of Armenia and replenished the state budget with
922.2 million drams. At the end of the first quarter of 2008 the
bank’s assets totaled 105 billion drams. Obligations – 85 billion
drams, total capital – 20 billion drams. The bank completed the year
2007 with 4 billion drams net profits taking the first position in the
banking system of Armenia by this indicator. At present, the bank has
49 braches throughout Armenia and four branches in NKR.
