ACCORDING TO ROBERT KOCHARIAN, ACTIVITIES OF RADIO LIBERTY IN ARMENIA
AIMED AT SHATTERING THE BASES OF COUNTRY’S STATEHOOD
YEREVAN, APRIL 5, NOYAN TAPAN. "I respect more those Armenian mass
media outlets that deal themselves with their problems in Armenia and
are not financed by other governments, while working in Armenia," the
president Robert Kocahrian said during a briefing with reporters,
declining to answer Radio Liberty correspondent’s question about what
he will do after the end of his term of office.
"I have decided not to answer now because what you do is aimed at
shattering the bases of Armenian statehood. And I cannot view it
positively," he said.
When the correspondent addressed him with the request: "For Radio
Liberty’s audience – Armenian citiens, I ask you…", the Armenian
president replied: "Do not confuse your policy with respect to me and
the Republic of Armenia with Armenian citizens".
