Trade Grows By 5.4%, Services By 11.8% In Armenia In January-Februar

TRADE GROWS BY 5.4%, SERVICES BY 11.8% IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2008 ON SAME PERIOD OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, APRIL 7, NOYAN TAPAN. Trade turnover made 177 bln 601.7 mln
drams (over 577.04 mln USD) in current prices in January-February 2008,
growing by 5.4% in comparable prices as compared with the index of
the same period of 2007.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, retail trade amounted
to 120 bln 928.3 mln drams in current prices in January-February 2008,
growing by 9.4% in comparable prices as compared with the respective
index of 2007.

Services made 80 bln 151.1 mln drams in current prices in the first
two months of 2008, growing by 11.8% in comparable prices on the same
months of 2007.
